We would love to have the support of our partner schools and are on hand to offer all the help and advice they might need to put on a fundraising initiative.

There are lots of different ways to get involved and raise money to support children’s mental health - here are just a few ideas to get started but we are sure there are plenty more!

Keep it casual and suggest students leave their uniform at home for the day, ask them to give their uniform a unique spin, or use a theme to encourage them to get dressed up.

Many schools have a 'charity of the year' and if so, could you choose us as yours? We can help schools to plan fundraising activities throughout the year and the whole school community will see the impact a full year's fundraising can have. We can supply posters, flyers and certificates if required and are happy to come into school to talk to staff, parents and children about our work and its impact.

Get the whole school community involved in a fun sponsored challenge - a walk, run, cycle or bounce, a readathon or a sponsored silence - anything goes!

Our little envelopes can be given out to each child and are a simple way of asking families to help by giving just what they can afford - no donation is too small. Please email Damian with the number of envelopes required.

Festive Hat Day

At the end of the autumn term, schools could hold a 'Festive Hat Day', asking staff and pupils to wear a Santa hat, elf hat, some reindeer antlers or suggest that each year group makes their own Christmas headdress, inviting everyone to bring in a small donation on the nominated day.

Christmas Nativity Plays and Carol Services

Some schools take up a collection at Christmas following their Nativity play or Carol Service and send their proceeds to us.

Share-A-Card

Invite school staff or older year groups to write a message on a bccs A4 shared Christmas card and donate to a collection rather than sending individual Christmas cards. This is a practical, environmentally sound way of sending Christmas greetings while raising funds for charity. Please email Damian to request your card(s) and money box(es).

We would love to hear about what you are planning, whether you are using one of our ideas or doing something completely different! Please send us your photos or share them with us on social media.
