In-School Counsellors/Therapists

We are always looking to recruit experienced counsellors and therapists to our rapidly expanding team and look for well-qualified, experienced practitioners who are confident and competent in providing some or all of the interventions detailed below:

Therapy

  • 1:1 therapy to children and young people in school
  • Parental therapy
  • Process groups to students in primary and secondary setting
  • Staff therapy to school staff

Training

Are you confident in delivering to both small and large groups of children and young people? We have a comprehensive training programme, largely founded within a psychodynamic framework, and we need enthusiastic, engaging, knowledgeable therapists to deliver these programmes. You will have experience of delivering face to face training to children, young people and school staff.

BCCS supports the emotional health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families, delivering services in schools across Essex and East London.  We also provide therapeutic support to children, young people and their families in our dedicated counselling rooms in our premises in Billericay high street. We offer training packages, workshops and professional supervision to school staff. We rely on fundraising in communities and with organisations, parishes and schools to deliver our services. Our recent move to our new premises provides a spring board from where we can further develop our work with children and young people in a more accessible location.

Fundraising and Partnerships Officer

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to gain valuable experience in fundraising for an established and expanding charity. As a Fundraising and Partnership Officer you will be generating income from new and existing fundraising activities in line with BCCS income generation strategy.  You will develop and manage relationships to deliver maximum long-term impact and income through effective personal relationship management across key support audiences.  Working with the existing team you will recruit, support and develop fundraising volunteers from existing and new audiences.

The post requires someone who can manage a high degree of responsibility and who is confident working independently and creatively.  Applicants must have excellent organisational skills and be proficient at managing their time and priorities effectively.
